World Teacher's Day
Today we celebrated World Teachers' Day and took a moment to toast to the amazing impact teachers have on our world. Their dedication, passion, and hard work shape the lives of our students and inspire them to reach their full potential.
During morning tea we shared stories, laughter, and appreciation for the invaluable contributions they make every day.
Christ the King Promotion, Performances and Collaboration
Our parish community is so wonderfully diverse, with many of us gathering together across schools, chapels, and aged care centres throughout the year. Outside of our regular local gatherings, we sometimes hear about the wider community, but rarely get the chance to come together as One Body.
On 24th November we will be combining all Sunday Masses so we can celebrate the Solemnity of Christ the King as One Body in a tangible way, with Mass at St Joseph’s Regional College at 10am Mass and festivities to follow. After Mass you can enjoy:
- Food
- Music
- Dancing
- Kids’ activities
We encourage everyone to consider registering to attend, getting an act together to perform, or join in by serving on the day. Just follow the link below to RSVP or express interest in performing/serving.

Breakfast Club
This week has seen the opening of our newly renovated Breakfast Club room!
We were overwhelmed with students coming for toast and fruit and also to look at the renovated space.
The bigger space has given students somewhere undercover to sit, eat and chat as well as the opportunity for more staff to be involved.
We are thankful to all contributors to our Breakfast Club:
Bakers Delight Settlement City
Woolworths
Ken Little’s Fruit and Veg
To the awesome trades that worked hard to get it finished for this week:
Neverlate Electrical
Designer Living Kitchens
Affordable Plumbing
Port Garage Doors
Matt Moretti - Our own Maintenance Manager Extraordinaire
Jay and Kim Franklin from Frontier Assembly
Watch this space for another change for Breakfast Club…….

Photography Guidelines for Parents and Carers
We recognise that parents and carers enjoy photographing and recording the progress of their child at school and on school activities. We recognise that many of you like to share these personal memories online and on social media. We ask for your cooperation and care concerning the use and distribution of photographs of other children at our school. Some families have very real legal and safety issues which could put a child at risk if an image is made public online. More generally, it is respectful of the privacy of other members of the school community to ask permission before posting an image online. Even if your social media settings are private, it is easy for images to become public, particularly if they are tagged or shared by others. Please see the school website under “Policies and Forms” for the Photography Guidelines for parents and carers, mandatory policies and further resources.
When we run activities and hold events here at school that families are invited to we often take photos to share with our community through the school newsletter and our social media platforms. Please note that for adults attending public events there is assumed permission for their image to be able to be published on our platforms.
Attending School Regularly Helps Children
Learning growth can occur when your child attends school every day
By attending school every day, students maximise their exposure to educational opportunities, engage in meaningful learning experiences, and lay the foundation for continuous academic progress. Regular attendance provides students with the opportunity to ask questions, seek clarification, and collaborate with others, enhancing their understanding of the material.
Parents and educators play important roles in fostering an environment that promotes and values regular attendance, contributing to the overall success and wellbeing of students.
Our Year 3 and 4 students shone brightly at the recent Futsal Gala Day, showcasing their skills, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the event. Impressively, three of our teams made it to the semi-finals. A special congratulations goes to our RED team, who emerged as the champions of the day! Well done to all our players for their enthusiasm and effort, making it a memorable day for our school community.
But that is only half of the story. As the students returned to school, there were no cheers for just the RED team. Instead, every student on the bus was ecstatic that “Joeys” won. We didn’t hear about individual goals or players. Just genuine enthusiasm for each other’s success. It was one of the most amazing things I’ve seen from a group of students returning after sport.
Well done to all of the students and teachers who attended.
