Kindergarten 2022
A reminder to existing families and those who may be looking to join our community, that interviews are almost complete for Kindergarten students in 2022 for all of our Parish schools. Letters of offer from the interview process will go out next week to families. If you have a child you wish to enrol for 2022 or know of someone else who is in this position, please get in touch with us as soon as possible.
Lost Uniform Items
We have been hearing from a number of frustrated parents and carers, who have items of uniforms that are missing, particularly jumpers which are needed on the current colder days. It is vital that your child has their name in each item of their uniform to make finding or returning these simple. It is also vital that you check at home and in school bags the items that your child has, to ensure they actually belong to them. Parents and carers have invested a lot of money into uniforms and we ask that you assist others by checking what you have and returning to teachers or the office any items that are not your child’s.
School Afternoon Pick up
The note around school pick up changes that will take place starting from next term was sent out to families. In addition to this, I would like to add some reminders around what will not be different. At all times, the priority is the safety of students. Please consider how our actions as adults support this goal.
- Parents and carers must park and leave their car to collect their child. There is additional space in Aston Street at busy times of the day when Warlters Street is full.
- There is to be no double parking of any vehicle in the pick up or parking zones in Warlters Street. Parking rangers and police visit the area at different times and there are fines for not following signage.
- Duty at pick up goes from 3:10pm until 3:30pm, so you can avoid the busiest time by coming later in this period.

Semester 1 Progress Reports
Next week you will receive your child’s Semester 1 report. This report will give a snapshot of your child's accomplishments in all Key Learning Areas over the past two terms. It will help you understand how your child is progressing.
The report will provide information about your child’s learning, their areas of strength and areas for growth. The grades will provide you with a snapshot of your child’s achievements with an A to E grade (Year 1 - 6) and in Kindergarten, working below, at or beyond. They will also provide information about your children’s social development and commitment to learning.
It is important to remember that the allocated grades are only an indicator of your child’s progress at school - this is only part of the picture. The report also includes information on your child’s level of effort.
Please take time to share and discuss your child’s report with them. Remember that every child is unique and develops at different times. No two children develop at the same rate, academically, socially, physically or emotionally. We look forward to seeing you during Week 2 and 3 (Week 5 and 6 for 1R) of Term 3 to discuss your child’s progress with the classroom teachers.

The Carnival of Animals - Got ya Back Productions
Students in Year 6 attended the performance ‘The Carnival of Animals’ at The Basement in Port Macquarie Panthers today.
The Year 6 students had the opportunity to experience their childhood wonderment, with brand new musical arrangements of French composer, Camille Saint-Saëns', classical masterpiece CARNIVAL OF THE ANIMALS! Giant puppetry, confetti, artistic mastery, tons of bubbles and musical mastery combine to make this theatrical experience like no other!
We look forward to hearing all about it!
