Staff Professional Development Digital Technologies

Last week our staff had a very productive session with JJ Purton Jones from the Catholic Schools Office (CSO). We explored the Digital Technology strategy and gained an understanding of where to next with Technology use.
The workshop included ‘hands on’ time with a range of technologies available from the CSO that can be implemented into learning environments such as Osmo Kits, Virtual Reality with Google Expedition, Merge Cubes, Break Out Kits, drones and Turning Tumbles.
We participated in robust conversations based upon planning learning opportunities for students using technology as an enabler and developed goals around implementing technology inline with effective pedagogy.
Technology tools for the classroom are known drivers for changing teacher pedagogical practice and engage students in contemporary learning and a richer curriculum in all KLA areas.
