Learning Together
Child Protection Week
Throughout this week our students were involved in activities focusing on Child Protection.
Our Year 3, 5 and 6 students all engaged in "National Child Protection Week 2020 - Virtual Classrooms Activity - Australian Catholic Schools". This National Child Protection Week online learning activity, was designed to empower students to manage their own online safety. Our students had the opportunity to:
- consider what privacy and personal information means;
- develop an understanding of what an online ‘stranger’ can be;
- explore strategies and skills to secure accounts; and
- learn where to go for help and support.
The presentation was interactive and our students were engaged in interactive questions and discussions with their teacher guiding the learning.
If you would like any additional resources around creating positive experiences online please access the eSafety.gov.au website.
Our Kindergarten students took time to participate in the Australia's Biggest Child Safety Lesson - Daniel Morcombe Foundation.
