Year 6 Camp

We really didn’t think that Camp was going to happen this year but thankfully we got to spend two nights at Coffs Coast Adventure Centre. We began our Camp on Wednesday 28th October and it was absolutely incredible! After settling into our cabins we were split into four groups to begin our activities. There were so many activities to do and the safety was impeccable.

Even though the weather was horrendous at times and we hardly had any dry clothes or shoes, we had an amazing time. We were encouraged to challenge ourselves and to face our fears. Some of the highlights were Capture the Flag, which we did in the dark with headlamps; the Mega Drop and Leap of Faith, which were 12 metres high and made us face our fears; The Giant Swing was 10 metres in a harness and we had to rely on our friends to lift us up; The Commando was muddy, wet and slippery and involved an obstacle course and teamwork. We also did fencing and sword fights, archery and canoeing and we rolled down a hill in a Zorb Ball. Our Minute to Win It night was hilarious.

The food was impeccable and we could go back for seconds, thirds and fourths, enough to feed an army! The cabins were spacious and to the surprise of everyone, the boys won the cleanest cabin award! If we were to do it again, we would definitely try to push ourselves to exceed limits, try to reach the top and face our fears. 

The staff at Camp were brilliant and were funny and helpful. We would really like to thank our teachers and parents for this fantastic opportunity.
