Junkyard Beats

Our Stage 2 students were so fortunate to see a performance at the Glasshouse called ‘Junkyard Beats’ on Thursday. 

Students learnt about sustainability with a high energy, imaginative  music-in-education performance combining drumming, dance, theatre and comedy.

Some quotes from our students:

It was great!!! I think it’s amazing how people can make music using parts of their bodies and simple sounds from their mouths. I’m going to go home and use things from my kitchen to create beats and rhythm! (Charli H)

It very creative. I liked how they danced and made music with their bodies, It was lots of fun. (Lenny D)

I liked how it was a play, but made with just music and sounds. There were lots of cool sound effects and lights. They used jibber language and sounds to communicate. (Layla P)
