NEWCUM students
At St Joseph’s we are very fortunate to have an ongoing partnership with the University of Newcastle. The partnership provides an opportunity for 4th Year Bachelor of Education students and our teachers to share and develop contemporary teaching focused on effective teaching and learning strategies. The Primary Education pre-service teachers come into the school and engage with the students through mentoring and educational learning activities. This year NEWCUM students have been working with our Year 1 cohort. They have been providing engaging learning experiences guided by the direction of our Year 1 teachers and Bianca Smyth, their University lecturer.
