Winter Sports Trials
All trials that were to be held this week have been postponed. Netball, hockey, and soccer trials will now be held on Friday 18th March. Please be mindful and flexible at present as weather conditions and ground closures may hinder further trials.
Netball NSW Schools Cup
A group of wonderful Year 5 and 6 students competed in the Netball NSW Schools Cup, a competitive all schools tournament, hoping to qualify for the North Coast selection trials. All players showed tremendous enthusiasm and were complemented on the spirit in which they competed on the day. Despite many of our players not having played netball previously, both teams made the finals. Our Green team played for a position in the next stage of the competition and despite a courageous effort, were narrowly defeated. Our inexperienced Blue team gave their all and eventually finished 6th on the day. Thanks to those parents who came to cheer on the teams and for Ms Lisa Gilchrist, Mrs Howard and Mr Lynch for all the organisation.

Cross Country
Our annual school Cross Country Carnival which was scheduled for Wednesday 16th March (Week 7, Term 1) has been postponed due to the weather. The carnival will now be held on the new date of Wednesday 23rd March (Week 8, Term 1) in and around the school grounds. This carnival is for all students in Kindergarten to Year 6.
Shared Lunch: We are pleased that we can also welcome parents and carers to join their children for lunch on the day (weather dependent due to limited covered spaces). Students will be able to sit with their parents/carers out on our playground grass areas or on the undercover areas of the MPA and back of the Library, picnic style (BYO seating). It is important for supervision and safety that students are in these areas. You are invited to bring food to share with your child/ren if this suits you, or they can use their own food packed for the day. The canteen is unable to cater for all who visit, so will only be able to cater for pre-ordered student lunches. We ask parents and carers not to order in flexischools or in person at the canteen for any family members who are not students in our classes.
This requires all to continue with the social distancing guidelines of 1.5m, sanitise hands on entry and remain in designated areas around the track within and outside of school grounds, keeping away from the running track and class gathering areas. All visitors entering the school must complete the digital QR sign in and sign out, so will need to factor extra time into arrival.
Please refer to the below timetable for times when students will be competing. Please note these times are an approximate guide only as they are dependent on how fast each race occurs and the smooth change over to the next age group.
