Eastcoast Hastings School Futsal Titles

Congratulations to all of our students who competed in the Eastcoast Hastings School Futsal Titles on Friday last week.  All three of our teams were very competitive throughout the day. Our Under 12 boys and our girls team both competed in the Semi-Finals. Our Under 11 boys made it to the Grand Final, coming just short in the end.

Mr Taylor, Miss Barber and Ms Gamack all returned proudly, proclaiming that our students displayed humility, sportsmanship and tenacity all day long. Well done to everyone involved.

Cross Country Carnival

Unfortunately our annual school Cross Country Carnival that was to take place on Wednesday 30th March was cancelled due to extreme weather and field conditions.

On Monday 4th April students who are 8 years and older (Year 2 to 6 students) who consider themselves competitive in this event are invited to compete in an age group race. The races will go ahead on Monday at school regardless of the weather.

Any child wishing to compete on the day must have a dry change of clothes with them (ie. t-shirt, shorts, socks, shoes, towel to dry themselves and plastic bag to put their wet things in). Students that do not have a change of clothes will not be allowed to race as it is very likely they will be racing in the rain.

Regrettably parents and carers will be unable to attend as we will be running races at the best possible times throughout the day based on the weather.

The first six place-getters in 8 and 9 years combined, 10 years, 11 years and 12 years will be selected to compete at the Zone Cross Country Carnival on Wednesday 4th May at Bowraville (Week 2 Term 2).

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and understand that this is not ideal however with much of the Coast either suffering from disaster or near-disaster levels of rain, it is the best we have available.

Thank you for your support.
