Farewell and Celebrations

Our 2024 Staff

On Tuesday next week, students will meet with their teachers and grade peers for 2024. Everyone is looking forward to a wonderful start to their new year. Our full staff list is below as we acknowledge our great teams for 2024.

We welcome Miss Ellie Norman to our team for Term 1 while Mrs Sarah McKinnon is on maternity leave.

It is with sadness yet delight in her future pursuits, that we farewell Mrs Leanne Parsons, IEW. Leanne has been a valued member of our community and will be missed. We wish her every happiness and success in her future and hope she will take a little bit of St Joseph’s in her heart, wherever she goes.

Thank you

We express our gratitude to the fantastic members of our community who gathered with us during our year-end celebrations this week. It was a joyous occasion to reunite in the church for our Mass of Thanksgiving.

During our End of Year Assembly, we extended our heartfelt thanks to the exceptional volunteers who support our school. Without you, Joey's wouldn't be the extraordinary place it is.

Rosemary Saunders Award Recipients.png

This is the third year we have presented the Mrs Saunders Star of the Year award. Mrs Rosemary Saunders taught at St Joseph’s for over 40 years. She was known for her smile, her positivity, compassion, friendliness and absolute consistency as a teacher, friend and person. Each week Mrs Saunders awarded a Star of the Week, where every child in the class would write a positive affirmation about that child and the child would receive a certificate laminated with affirmations from classmates.

The Star of the Year was voted upon by the students and adults in each class to nominate a classmate who has shown consistent positivity, a smile and friendliness throughout the year. The recipient received a medal, sprig of rosemary, and a certificate of affirmations at our End of Year Assembly today. It was wonderful to have Ro’s daughter Emma here with us once again to present the recipients with their awards.

Congratulations to all our student recipients.
