NEW STAFF
This week we briefly introduce our new staff for 2020. We look forward to introducing them in person at the beginning of next year.
Nathan Porter
Nathan comes to St Joseph’s in 2020 as Assistant Principal Mission. He has held roles of Student Wellbeing Leader and Religious Education Leader in Victoria, has most recently worked in Katherine and has been part of Music Ministry and a Lector at Mass. Nathan’s interest in connecting with communities led him to complete a missionary experience in the Philippines, and coordinate a project where he recorded a song with parents and students and filmed in aid of social justice issues. We look forward to sharing Nathan’s expertise.
Melissa Buckland
Melissa will move to Port Macquarie from Walcha to teach at St Joseph’s in 2020. She is very excited to be joining our team and working with our staff and students. Melissa particularly enjoys incorporating ICT into her teaching and being part of a professional learning community. She also enjoys a range of sports, being active and healthy.
Kathy Bailey
Kathy worked in St Agnes' Parish schools from 2014 as a casual teacher before taking on a full time position at Wauchope Public school. She is particularly passionate about developing English skills in children in their early years of school to open up their future possibilities. We are happy to share Kathy’s love of learning and support for all students.
Alison Young
Alison started working at St Joseph’s during 2019 as a casual teacher. She then filled in blocks of leave time and now joins us in 2020 as part time on staff. Alison has taught in several different systems and brings a gentle and deep faith life and a positive outlook to enrich our team. We look forward to continuing working with Alison.
