ATHLETICS SELECTIONS

On Thursday 25th June we will hold Athletics selections. Students are encouraged to wear their House coloured shirt (or their school sports shirt) on the day.  Children will also need their hat, drink bottle and sunscreen. Due to the guidelines around social distancing and current restrictions in place we are unable to hold our usual community 'carnival' and we will not be able to have visitors join us on the selection day.

SCHOOL HOUSES are:

★  HASTINGS – GREEN     ★  MACQUARIE – YELLOW    

★  MITCHELL – BLUE     ★  OXLEY – RED

EQUIPMENT: Spikes may be worn in 100m, 200m and Long Jump only (must be taken off in between events). 

Unfortunately neither Zone or Diocesan Athletics will be held this year, however we will still hold small group finals to determine place getters at St Joseph’s for Year 2 - 6. We will still award a winning House and Age Champions which will be published in Joey’s Jottings after all the events have taken place.

The 800m and 1500m have been postponed from Friday 26th June and will now be held in Term 3, due to a waterlogged Dixie Park.
