The Principal's Report
STAFF ACTION TEAMS
At St Joseph’s, we work each year through our School Improvement Plan to focus on goals that will assist our school to move forward. These goals are designed from various information that is available to our school, including DOLSIS surveys that some families have just completed for us. There are other forms of information gathering too that we will ask you to assist us with at various times. We can then fine tune our goals and give these to our Staff Action Teams to work through the “action” to get there.
The three areas from our School Improvement Plan that we are working on throughout the year are: Mission, Teaching and Learning and Parent Partnership. You will have noticed we are seeking your feedback and ideas currently for the Parent Partnership and Engagement goal. This is really important to us, as this is how we can connect with and support families to improve our school. I really encourage and appreciate your involvement in this quick information seeking exercise, so that we can work on the best ways to communicate and connect with you. We can’t promise that all of the ideas can happen, but we will make every attempt to incorporate what is possible into our plans. SOCIAL DISTANCING
We remind parents and carers of the need to social distance around the school during drop off, pick up and office attendance. You may have noticed the signs at the entrance to our office, where only 2 adults at a time can attend the foyer of the office, due to the ratio of space to adults. Thank you so much for supporting our Office Staff and other parents and carers by following this practice. We also ask parents to maintain the 1.5m space when dropping off and picking up.
