Student Book Packs

School_Hours_and_Supervision.jpgEach student is required to purchase a school book pack from the school office. The ‘Student Book Packs’ are made up of stationery items and include an ‘Additional Book Pack Levy’.  The levy covers costs such as online subscriptions, the annual performing arts excursions to The Glasshouse, bus fares to Mass at the Church and the whole school Athletics carnival held at St Joseph’s Regional College. The variance in cost is due to the type of online subscription/s chosen by the teachers to enhance learning in their Year. Please note that every second year our students visit the Life Education Van and produce a whole school Creative Arts concert at the Glasshouse which adds an additional cost to the overall expense biannually.

Student accounts are billed for the relevant book pack.  To help alleviate financial pressures at the end of each year we request that the total cost be paid by the end of Term 1 each year. Payments can be made anytime via the Compass portal, in cash or by Eftpos.

All book packs for current Kinder to Year 5 students go home with them in Week 9 or 10 of Term 4. If your child will not be at school for any reason during that week their book pack can be collected the following year from the school office in the days prior to school starting for the year. See the school calendar for the office January opening times.

Book packs for our new Kindergarten students will be provided to parents/carers at their last visit to us in Week 9 or 10 of Term 4 the year prior to starting when they come to the school to collect the “Ready Set Go” gift bag.

All students will require headphones, labelled and stored in a large zip lock bag; and a library bag (feel free to use the drawstring bag your child's book pack comes in). Students in Kindergarten and Year 1 will not require their own pencil case or any other stationery.  Students in Year 2 to 6 are asked to supply some extra stationery items and require their own pencil case.

A list of specific Year requirements needed (in addition to the book pack) is listed here for you, and will need to be purchased elsewhere, if you do not already have them at home. Just a reminder that ‘Liquid Paper’ is not used at school.
